Color Flow
Give color a flowing form
Color Flow turns an editable gradient into broad pools, stretched folds, rounded liquid contours, or sweeping waves.
Start from a solid layer for a background, or use the coverage of another layer as a silhouette.

Choose a structure for your color
Mesh Bloom blends broad moving pools. Silk Flow stretches bands into folds and concentrated creases. Liquid Drift forms rounded shapes and smooth connections. Wave Wash bends broad directional bands.
All four share the same gradient editor and preset library. Their geometry changes independently of color, so a palette can travel through a series without losing its identity.
Shape a still, then let it evolve
Clean defaults make the structure visible before motion is enabled. Flow controls the excursion of deformation, while Loop and Free determine how it evolves over time.
A longer composition slows a fitted loop. Keep settings fixed or separately looping for a closed cycle. Grain is optional and remains temporally stable.

Starting workflow
- Add a Color Flow effect to an opaque solid layer.
- Choose a gradient and shape the still composition with Scale, Softness, and the effect’s own geometry controls.
- Enable composition Motion and FX Motion, then press Play. Loop fits the field to the composition duration.
- Compare the start and end of the composition before export if other layers or parameter animation are involved.
