Music visuals · Artfkt for Mac and Windows

Visuals that move with your music.

Make your cover art react to your song, export a Spotify Canvas loop, and play live visuals for a set or stream. Start from one artwork in the Artfkt desktop app.

No subscriptions. Pay US$29 once at launch (regularly US$39). Includes all current collections and Artfkt 1.x updates.

For release day

Let the song move the artwork.

Import a separate WAV, MP3, or AAC M4A soundtrack and choose the passage you want. Its energy, detected hits, or a beat grid you align can drive layers and effect controls. Then export the result with sound.

Shape each response.

Map Quiet Reach’s ripples to bass. In Animate → Sound input, toggle Preview sound response to compare the movement while music keeps playing. Your mappings stay intact; exports keep the full response.

Loop a Spotify Canvas.

The Spotify Canvas export preset sets a 9:16 MP4 at 576 × 1024 and 30 fps with the soundtrack off. Make one from your album art.

Cut it for social.

Start from matching canvas and export presets for TikTok, Reels, Stories, Shorts, and YouTube. Include the soundtrack in MP4 with AAC or WebM with Opus when your device supports encoding.

Mix in more sound.

Combine the soundtrack with a video’s own audio and separate Sound layers. Playback and export share one mixed timeline.

Inside Animate

Start with a soundtrack.

Choose a passage from a separate soundtrack and use its energy, hits, or a manual beat grid to drive motion in Artfkt for Mac.

For your set or stream

Play the visuals live.

Prepare another scene privately, cut or crossfade it into your set, and keep the music connected. Show a clean audience picture while you work.

Listen as you play.

Use computer audio on macOS 14.2 or later or Windows, or one physical or virtual input device. In Animate → Sound input, choose Live audio and an input, then select Start audio pulse to make the selected layer respond and start playback. Route Master and up to seven named inputs to animation controls.

Prepare the next scene.

Open Scenes and select another composition to edit privately. Choose Show scene with Cut or Crossfade when it is ready. Perform follows the live scene, with its faders and saved FX settings on keys 1–9.

Control the audience picture.

Use the master visual level to fade the finished picture, or toggle Blackout while music continues. Your editor stays unfaded. Open clean output from Perform and follow the OBS setup for your stream.

Record the performance.

Record scene transitions, master fades, blackout and the Master mix to an H.264/AAC MP4 while you keep editing. The recording is a finished video, not an editable replay.

Before you start

What to expect.

Separate instrument responses need separate channels from your music setup; Artfkt does not split instruments from a mixed song. Tempo is not detected automatically, so align the beat grid yourself. Scene changes are manual; playlists, MIDI and music-app tempo sync are not included. Sound features need the desktop app; the free browser demo is silent.
