Kinetic
Letters become a moving composition.
Kinetic begins with editable content: your exact words, ASCII characters, built-in shapes, or a mixture. Arrange and animate those marks in a wave, orbit or banking flock.
Compose while paused, then enable Motion and explore traveling waves, orbital layouts, staggered reveals, depth, and seeded dispersal. Kinetic is available in the desktop app.

Compose with marks and negative space
Mosaic combines regular cells with larger tiles and seeded gaps. Keep density low enough that each mark has a recognizable silhouette. A few shape choices and a weighted palette provide variety without filling every available space.
Give editable type a rhythm
Wave keeps a sentence close to its original baseline. Orbit creates circular and spiral arrangements. Cascade reveals the chosen animation units, while Scatter & Assemble returns them to their incoming positions. Stack order changes the result without changing your content.
Tunnel repeats the complete mark field through perspective depth. Keep the copy count modest when composing text so each layer remains distinct.
Make the turn in Bank Angle
Start with a 1080 × 1920 canvas, a gradient sky and one dark wing on a Shape layer. Add Flock to the wing. In Elements, open Element setup, choose Copies and give a single copy the full canvas as its field.
Set Flock size to 5,300, Spread to 0.72 and Wing span to 2.05. Turn on Animate and let Flight phase make one circuit in ten seconds. Add your track, choose Sound for Bank and use Low energy. The low end turns the flock while each wing keeps its own beat.
Let another layer guide the marks
Guides provide original color, luminance, and coverage before effects and composition transforms. Use a text or shape guide to form words from symbols, or an image guide to reconstruct a photograph from repeated words.
Projects preserve text, both effect stacks, guide bindings, and font assets. Mark FX Artfkts preserve the destination layer’s authored content when applied. Missing guides and fonts retain their settings and show an error so the source can be restored.

Starting workflow
- Add a Text or Shape layer, then choose a Kinetic effect for that layer.
- Set text, shapes, typography, arrangement, and color in the layer inspector.
- Optionally link an image, video, text, or shape guide. Hidden guides remain usable; Fit and Fill control their framing.
- Add Mosaic first when you want a tiled field, then combine motion effects in their displayed order.
- Apply pixel effects to the rasterized marks, pause on a still or export the animation, and save the project to retain editable content.
